The Islamic Attack Upon the West
While many may see the Palestinian/Hamas attack upon Israel as an isolated skirmish between far-away peoples, the conflict is clearly one of global significance. Whether some may like it or not, the history of the Jewish people is strongly wedded to European/Western civilization — with some obvious negative interactions as part of that kinship.
It’s no coincidence that the shrill whines of American leftists (including Jewish leftists) are perpetually in sympathy with “Palestinians” (Arabs residing in Palestine) and continually directing bitter hatred toward Israel. Again, no coincidence that those among the American political elite that despise America, despise capitalism, and despise middle class America, are the same ones who hate the Jewish state.
Israel is an outpost of Western civilization surrounded by the resentful non-Western world. The Arab/Islamic peoples of the Middle East could easily — peacefully — coexist with the Jewish people in the region but, with the same violent bitterness they hold toward America and the West they obsessively demand nothing short of Israel’s annihilation.
When two sides are at war, one’s sympathies are reasonably directed toward those who didn’t start the conflict... The more civilized of the two sides earn allegiance as well.
